I rode hundreds of miles over the weekend, bike ran great. Left out monday morn on my way to work, everything cut off while riding on the hwy! Found a blown key switch fuse. Replaced and started up for about 5min then blew again. Where do I start? Oh, I did find the horn fuse blown Sun. eve when I came back from the ride. '03 XB9R | ||

Ok, I removed the horn fuse and replaced the key switch fuse. No horn, but the key switch doesnt pop??? | ||

I just put a new horn fuse in. When I use the brake lever the key switch fuse will blow????  | ||

Sounds like a chaffed wire somewhere in the horn/brake circuit. Possible areas to look in is at the horn, at the steering stem and directly under the fuse box. Those are the most likely places to find the chaffed wire but it could be else where as well. If you have the shop manual look up the schematics to find which wires are tied into the brake, horn and key switch and dig through that jungle of wires and find the chaff. It will not be fun. It will be extremely frustrating but if you find and wrap that wire you will feel like the king of the world. And your bike will be fixed  | ||

Hey, thanks for all the help. Problem solved = The taillight harness was pinched and the wires had broken inside the insulation/loom, in the tail section.  | ||
