A friend has a XB 12 SS he had an accident and one of the screws that holds the engine to the front silent block broke all the tread so hed had to get a new head, the bike is under 1000 miles, and the dealer in Spain ( this is not a stealer it's a ripoff) says that he needs new valves and springs, I'm not expert, but with that millage is it necessary?

Pontlee77, I would call Buell directly and see what they say. Their number is 1-414-343-8400, USA.

The folks at Buell Customer Service (the number posted) will likely have no clue and in order to make that determination would have to see the head.

If the impact was severe enough to break the motor mount it's not much of a stretch to see the head being damaged.

The good news is that the head comes with the valves and springs and if you buy them separately it won't be much more than the phone call would cost.
