My fiancee' has an Scg and loves it. She also has some spine problems and finds that the suspension is just too jaring for her, particularly on the roads around here. She is about 160Lbs. I softened up the suspension as best as I could. Suggestions on helping her get a softer ride would be greatly appreciated. She does not want to sell the bike, it is paid for.
Thanks

don't know your settings, but less preload and less damping is the direction to go for a softer ride. in the front you could play with a little less fluid to provide more air to be compressed which would also soften the ride. to make it softer you want the suspension to have the most movement possible.

Buelltuner-thanks, I will recheck the settings this afternoon. I believe that I had done the above, a year ago, except for reducing the oil level in the front fork, but I will check again, it has been awhile.

Here is how I would work on this problem:

1) First, start with the correct factory setting for the riders weight with gear.

Test ride

2) Next, reduce compression damping counterclockwise 1/4 TO 1/2 turns

Test ride

3) Next, reduce rebound damping, counterclockwise 1/4 TO 1/2 TURNS

Test ride

4) Next, reduce the rear shock preload 1 position.

Test ride

Try these adjustment in order, one at a time, and test ride the bike on the same section of road, hitting the same bumps, at the same speed after each adjustment.

I hope this helps; good luck.

If this doesn't work, you may want to talk to a suspension specialist, some that does this sort of thing for a living.
