I was referred here by a friend who told me there were a lot of knowledgeable peeps on here. OK so I'm riding the bike and it starts sputtering a little mainly on the deceleration. So I take the plugs out a clean them with a bead blaster and reinstall them. The bike runs great on the way home from the shop. Then when I'm on the way to my local bike night it starts doing it again slightly. It get progressively worse the whole trip, then about half way its running terrible and bogging and backfiring hard on deceleration. Then It pretty much shut off on me. I managed to limp it back to the house. I need to mention that this bike has the race ignition in it. If you know about these engines I'd appreciate any input from you. Thanks }

more info please, exhaust, has the bike been tuned, was something recently changed, was it in storage, are the plugs stock, etc? right now it sounds like too much fuel gradually fouling the plugs, and possibly an intake leak.

Have you checked/reset your AFV? I would reset the TPS also and check for any trouble codes. Like buelltuner said "more info please"

Yes the plugs are stock, I just put new ones in it to see if that would help. But no go. I checked over all the connections pretty well to see if there was a loose connection or a leak in the intake. The bike has a race exhaust and air filter. I'm not sure whether its rich or lean???
