Is it possible to use one of these to lift an XB?

I had that exact jack. I have an 03 XB9SL. The jack was nice, well built. The only issues I really had were:
1) I have an SL, so I ended up having to jack the bike up in order to get this jack underneath it. : )
2) The muffler under the bike is curved, so I had to rig a brace up to fit on top of the lifting area of the jack to keep the bike from tipping.

If you don't have the low model, the jack should work fine for you, assuming you have something to put under the muffler that will provide the side-to-side support. If I remember right, there was a template for something like that on this site a while back...
