I have just recently bought brand new parts from buellparts and there is a definate color difference between the flyscreen and the tank cover. The tank cover has more of a greenish black tint while the flyscreen is what I would call true black translucent. Has anyone else had the same issue and if so, have you got any satisfaction from the company you bought the parts from? Every time I talk to someone at buellparts they seem to not know their a$$ from a whole in the ground.

Easy fix. Happens sometimes and very easy to fix. Your dealer should be able to fix you up in minutes.

I don't think so Court. He bought these from a non Buell dealer. He may want to contact them with the issue. Sounds like a dye lot problem in which those parts were ran at two different times. Or one got past quality control.

Dana:

You are right. If he bought them from a non-dealer he's screwed. If he'd bought them from a Buell dealer they could be replaced by Wednesday.

James,

Sounds like you bought these from of another site. Maybe Buellxb.com ??? I really don't know his policy as far as return's. I'd take it up with them for a return. IMHO Buying factory parts such as body work in your best interest you may want to buy from a Buell dealer. By far less headaches I would imagine when it comes to pieces like these. Keep us posted though in your progress.

I agree. It'll be interesting to see how it works out at compared to a Buell dealer. Buell bodywork is so cheap it makes sense to buy from a Buell dealer. I've also not heard of any not matching.

That was unwise. I'd write it off to experience and order from a Badweb sponsor.

Yikes.
