I have noticed that my rear brake peddle was bottoming out, so I thought it was air in the system some how. Tried to bleed it and found that there was no pressure build up. So, my first thought is bad master but this master is only like 2 years old. Anyone heard of a master cylinder going bad after that short of a period. I want to rebuild this, but don't know the size of the U cups in the master. Any incite on this? Thanks.

You'll never get the rear to bleed using normal pump-up, bleed-down techniques. A bubble hangs at the brake light switch because that whole section of line is higher than the caliper. The fluid doesn't push the bubble to the caliper, it just flows under the bubble. You're working against gravity.

remove the caliper, block the pads with a piece of wood to simulate the rotor, and elevate the caliper so that it is the highest part of the system, and then bleed it. I'll bleed the bubble out in just a few minutes.

How about this syringe method I have read about? The only flaw I see in that is pushing crap into a spot that it will not come back out.
