History I replaced recalled firebolt lites. It ran fine for about 500 miles. Then the lites went out. Hi-beam indicator came on even when switch was on lo-beam. Bike runs, just no head lites. The bike runs soooo well that when i turn it off with the key and remove key and bike still runs!!!!!!!!! I check connections to lites, no juice. I am currently tracing the connections from the lights to the batt, But I think it is something other than just the lites. 03 XB9R about 30k miles No extra farkles Race ECM Batt 12.5 volts Running the batt reads 14.3 volts. Any ideas? Advice? Things I should look for? | ||

I have had this happen to me on the fatboy. Lights out and high beam indicator light on. Every time it has been the ground wire for the bulb. Check the headlight plugs the ground wire may have come loose. Also check the secondary ground wire that goes back to the fairing support. | ||

I get about a 5 volt reading from my meter from the lites as installed. ant ideas? fuse looks ok. | ||

Found it. Fixed it. Loose ground.  |
