So, I got my cable, installed the driver, my device manager says it is under COM5, so I set ECMSpy to COM5. I get nothing, no error messages, nothing.

And yes the bike is switched on.

Any ideas?

Use the auto detect, make sure key is on and kill switch is set to run.

Did all of that...the device manager has another driver set for my cable and won't let me change it...but everything else is right as far as I can tell

You may need to disconnect from that com port in your device manager and then let ecmspy autoconnect again.
