Hi all,
I'm new to bad web I bought my first buell this february. Its a 98' S1 it now has just under 12k original miles. I belive that I ran it way low on oil for one short ride, I topped of the oil and I have noticed considerablely more valve train noise since then mostly at higher rpm's(3000 and up) load or no load dosen't matter its there and I ride with a FFH so its loud.

Yesterday I started pulling my bike apart to find out what I did, so far I have the rear rocker box, pushrods tubes and lifters out. The push rods look good so on to my stupid question.
My service manual says to check roller fit, roller end clearance and fit in guide, this is what I think please tell me if I am wrong, roller end clearance I should push the roller and bearings to one side and measure the resulting gap with a feeler gauge.

Fit in guide I should measure the outside diameter of the lifter and the inside of the bore and the difference is my guide clearance.

I have no idea what roller fit is!!

I have a few more questions but one at a time.

Can anybody help?
Sorry about the long post.
