I know that this is about the bazillionth thread on the whole TPS thing, but, here goes. Do I need to reset the AFV while doing the tps reset? To what? 100%....Thanks Kenny

you can reset it iff you like,
the afv will self learn, to the value the bike likes.
if it's way off 100 .. check you intake seals

So just for clarification, an AFV reset is really just optional? say for example my Xb has a AFV of 90 which I believe means its running rich in closed loop but lean up top open loop I should then reset the AFV?

Resetting the AFV by itself really does not do much since the bike will go back to original % after a short ride in closed loop region. The trick is to make the necessary changes in the fuel maps so the AFV "stays" at 100%. In general, any % between 90-110 is fine.
