Hey,
I've been using the M1's on my XB9s ever since I slid around on some Bridgestone Battlax BT020 tires. The M1's are great in dry and wet. They're also relatively cheap (rear $140) but I'm going through them pretty quick. I get around 3000 miles on them. I've read some articles on Bridgestone's new BT016 triple compound rear and was wondering if anyone has tried them yet.

It's the middle that always wears out. The sides of the tire are still fine at 3k miles. I guess it's due to the low end torque and also depends on how much you ride in a straight line in warm weather. I had an FZ1 and got some serious mileage out of most tires with the same riding style. I've heard others mention that the Buells eat up the rear quick.
