Looking for suggestions for a small tank bag with map compartment and minimal storage. Not enough long travel plans on the Uly now to justify the expense of a GPS, but need a place for a map or printed turn by turn directions. Thanks.

Cortech Mini - not Super Mini. If you get a grommet kit, you can mount the front straps so that you do not have to remove the bag for fueling.

Thanks for the lead! I'll look into it.

Where did you locate the grommet kit? I talked to a Cortech dealer who had no idea what I was talking about.

Sorry I wasn't clear about that. I got mine at Ace Hardware. I forget what size I got but it was a large size so that the bolts that hold the air cleaner cover can fit through them.

I found the packaging for the grommet kit. It is 3/8".

OK, thanks. Another question on using the map holder, any issues with viewability with a full face helmet?

I just installed the http://motopakluggage.com/gtxmini.html
on my XT and it fits great.
The map area isn't bad.
I just used a soldering iron to shorten the straps, and melt some holes thru for bolting in on with the air box bolts. I just need to trim the neoprene padding around the air intake.

Ive also just put some strips of velcro on the tank and slapped a map case from a Touratek tank bag for a BMW F650 I had. You may be able to buy just the map case. The 650's gone and so is the map case or id show you that setup.
