Hi, This is the last chance this Buell gets. I had a post back in July and finely replaced the ECM and got it running decent. yesterday I went out started it up was planing on taking a trip it ran bad. no codes. so I reset the tps it starts find but won't idle or even run good when I try and give it gas. Find vacation this is.

I'd be doing another TPS reset..did you back the idle screw off completely and gently force the throttle closed until the butterfly was wedged in the bore prior to executing the TPS reset?

Al

Yes I did I have done this before with no problem, and like you to me it still acts like this is the problem, even before this happen it never seem to be running like it should around 2000 rpm? Just maybe this ECU needs to be set. Thanks Dave

I guess you could sell it and just post a price. It is probably something simple. Maybe try to find someone near you to give you a different perspective on the problem.

I'm still hanging in there I guess I just don't like to quit. The only way I can get this to idle, is to set the tps at 5.1 and bring it back to 3.9 if I try to take it to 5.1 it quits?

Have you checked the stator, leads, plugs etc?

Sounds like a voltage/weak spark issue.

The stator may have given up the ghost and grounded partially( reduced output).

Maybe I am wrong, but after speaking to a guy that used to race and still builds race bikes and this includes Buells. I think my problem could be the software I am using?

Have you looked at your manifold seals? believe it or not I was having the same problems...thought it was electrical, but my seals where fried. If you spray some wd40 around them and it stays running it's the seals. just a thought....

Thanks for your input, yes I have done that they are o.k. Where I am now, I am satisfied the software is find. I start the engine it races and shuts off if I keep the throttle Moving real fast I can keep it running in other words if I keep sending a signal to the tps in keeps running?
