I recently bought my Buell used from a private seller. I've read about some type of recall/upgrade for the headlights. Do they replace the lens? My low beam lens looks like it's melting directly in front of the bulb...I hope that isn't normal. How can I tell if this has been taken care of? |

There is a recall for headlights. Not sure if it is your bike but a dealer will be able to find out for you. Its PGM501. |

There is no recall. For a complete list of ALL Buell recalls you can look HERE. You will note there are no recalls on the 2003 XB9S. There may be a product improvement program or update. Only your Buell dealer would know for sure. You can provide them with the VIN and they can immediately tell you of any outstanding issues. Court |

H2Owerker: It sounds like a previous owner may have installed a replacement bulb that is running a bit warmer than it should. You may want to change back to the proper wattage and replace the melted lens. Dave |

I'm actually hoping to do a Bi-Xenon install if I can get the budget past my accountant (wife). But in the meantime I'd like to get this taken care of, weather or not there's a recall/upgrade. I'm going to have to live w/ these lights till the budget passes... |
