Does anybody have any experience with this helmet? http://www.gmaxhelmet.com/ It's the 68s SPC, it won't let me link direct. I want the blue crusader style. The only thing I don't like is the light bar on the back of the helmet. Apparently it won helmet of the year from some webbikeworld site. Has all sorts of features, I love the design, and it doesn't cost that much. I have also heard what you said, that they won the helmet of the year award. I have a fellow riding buddy and an instructor at my school that have one of the 68s SPC models, and they both really seem to like them. They have both told me you can get some good flow through them to keep your head cool. I personally kind of like the lights, my riding buddy has a flat black one and the lights are tinted out so you don't notice them. I know he only paid 105 bucks or so. I will try one out for my next helmet. I dunno if that will help you out any. Shawn | ||

So I went thru with it and bought the helmet and it arrived yesterday. I have to say, it exceeded even my expectations. It is quieter, yet still somehow moves way more air than my AGV. The visor is perfect and seals really well, kinda tough to switch out though. The LEDs are gimmicky, but well made. I probably won't use them but if you are into that, they don't look terrible. The paint quality, the interior, and the overall workmanship is at least as good as any other helmet I've owned or worn. I'm happy with my purchase. | ||

Do any of you guys who bought this helmet wear glasses? I want to step up from the 3/4 helmet I've always worn to a full face helmet but the only time I've worn one was at a Buell demo ride and it was a real pain to get my glasses on. Does this helmet work OK with glasses? Thanks. | ||

I don't wear glasses but it puts very little pressure on my temples like some helmets do so it may work. I think that review talks about that, but it was a non-issue for me. Just to add since I'm in here, I still love this helmet, everything about it is great though I do get a slight whistle at high speeds. I get a lot of compliments too. | ||

I use this helmet, I love it, I am picking up a second one as spare. I just got the photochromatic shield for it for Christmas, I think I am going to go try it now. I wear glasses, I have not problems. (Message edited by cscutt on December 25, 2008) |
