Anyone know of any throttle locks or throttle friction accessories available for stock tuber systems. Any help would be appreciated. |

The old style Vista Cruise made by SOS works great with a few mods and are cheap,$22.00. Get one for a dual cable Yamaha and grind down the nub flush on the locating tang and then drill a 3/16" hole centered about 1/8" from the edge. Next remove the grip from the throttle tube and disassemble the throttle assy. You will need to remove the little raised flange that is used to retain the grip. This is best done on a lathe but could be done with a file if no lathe is available. Reassemble throttle control and slide the throttle lock up against the throttle housing and position the tang so the 3/16" hole at about 5:00 and carefully drill a # 23 hole in the throttle housing and tap 8-32. Next put a mark about 1/16" out from the throttle lock. Take the housing apart and blow out the plastic chips and put glue on the throttle tube and slide the grip on up to the mark. Reassemble the throttle assy. and lock then install a 8-32x 1/4" pan head screw and your done. |

Why spend $100.00 + for a throttle meister. A 13/16 od. x 3/32 o-ring snugged up between the bar end has the same result/effect as a HD throttle tension screw? |
