When would you change it? My first one didnt last 12k I'm pushing 18k on the second and thinking about riding it til it breaks.   Indy_bueller Posted on Thursday, July 31, 2008 - 05:18 pm:        I had 12k on mine when I swapped the whole setup for the '04 and up gear. I hope newer ones are more durable. Offtopic: Cause or consequence, mine is missing belt guards. I have an original 04' belt with exactly 30k miles on it now. I've heard several people say that they recommend changing them at 60k just to be safe, but I'm sure they can last a bit longer if you don't do wheelies. Those probably broke because a small pebble got between the sproket and the belt; happens all the time..
