I bought it from a fellow Badweb member and installed it yesterday evening.

Fairly easy installation, though I had trouble with the replacement seat bolts until I had the revelation that the ones they provide are if you have the passenger pegs installed. I do not, so I just used the original bolts.

With everything wrenched tight the rack is quite solid.

They recommend that the pack be facing forwards when you are riding solo and that is my only issue; I don't like having to lead with my foot while getting on the bike.

The pack is ginormous, has covered zippers, built in backpack straps, and if you are really needing storage you can zip two packs together.

Definite thumbs up from me.

I've been using my bag on the back side of the rack like you have yours for the last three years and have had no problems with wind or handling.
It works like a charm.

You should have seen my 12S last year. I had the 45 bag on back and a 35 liter bag zipped up front.
I could have brought the kitchen sink along on my trip if I so wished. : )

Mount her like you would a horse. Put your left foot on the foot peg, lean forward and swing the other leg over the rear and the bag. It is an iron horse after all. LOL

I use that method to get on mine a LOT !!!! Back injuries prevent me from swinging right leg over without P-A-I-N !!!

Hopefully you aren't forced to brake hard in front of a semi truck or large SUV/truck. They won't be able to see your tail light.

I think you can see it farther away, but I'll have to check that out. The rack is above it.

It's just the camera angle.

Peeps can see my tail light just fine.

Yup, that is the newer 51 liter bag. Simply huge compared to anything else I've seen/used.

Whoa !! That bike is loaded down pretty good ! No room for Coleman stove/cooking utensils??? With that rear bag so high, do you get any top-heavy side effects?

No Top heavy side effects what so ever.

As a rule, I always pack the heaviest stuff first so it sits at the bottom.
I do this with back packs as well.

I was riding down to seca with a friend on his 1125R and we were going at a pretty darn good pace and my bike handled beautifully.
The 1125R had a decent sized tankbag (The old tube frame ones modified for XB1125R attachment) and a small sleeping back bungied on the tail so it was traveling light.

On a side note, I could have fit a Coleman stove in the pack but I wanted to have some free space available in case I wanted to bring some stuff back from the race track : D

I noticed a bit of drag with that sticking up behind me, but not really anything from the extra weight.
