I bought a used buell about two weeks ago with 8000 miles and everything is good except the other day i was riding it rather aggressively but not for very long and it sputtered out while i was still going down the road and the check engine light blinked but doesn't stay on when i tried to restart the bike it idled fine and revved up fine but as soon as i put it in gear and began letting out the clutch it stalls....after a bit it decided to go but then did it again and again all the way home but now a day later it has no problem.....did it overheat....I checked for a kickstand sensor by putting it in gear and riding with the kickstand down for a sec and it seems there is no sensor or it has been disconnected...any help is greatly appreciated

Inspect the area around the kickstand to verify for certain that there is no sensor switch there. See if you can locate the wiring and verify that it has been shorted or that the switch has been jumpered to render it ineffectual.

It happened again today...this time i was on my way to work never even taking the engine past 3500rpm and after sitting at a stop light I tried to go and the engine stalled while releasing the clutch...Im able to start the bike immediately after and it will idle and rev up fine but then it will stall while releasing the clutch...after letting the bike sit for 15 minutes the bike will run as though it never happened until about 15 minutes of riding later it will either stall after sitting at a stop light or even at cruising speed...i thought i also should ad the previous owner installed a race ecm and its still installed now and each time this has happened it is at least 80 outside...

Is there a jumper in place of the side stand switch? If there is, check to make sure it's in good shape.
