I have a 2008 City-X. I have had it serviced at my local HD dealer by certified Buell Techs. It is currently at 5500 km.

I’ve taken the bike in for an issue I’m having in the power band. Initially the issue was that during semi-aggressive acceleration, the bike would loose power at exactly 4500 rpm until it reaches 5000 then kicks back in and acceleration is clean through to 6000.

It has been in to the dealer twice for this issue. They reset or reprogram the computer do-hicky and give it back to me. after about an hours of riding the issue comes back, This time even worse then before.

It’s becoming a pretty dangerous situation because there is a drastic pop when the power kicks in after 5000.

Hope I have made sense...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Rick

Be sure to let your dealership know that they have only temporarily resolved the issue twice and that you want it fixed permanently. It could be any number of possible things related to the fuel injection and sensing system or related items.
