Don't bother with load equalizers, resistors, or anything of the sort. They can create a safety problem.

I installed LED turn signals from Oberon using resistors they supplied. My flasher unit burnt out on the first ride when I forgot to cancel the signals after making a turn by a cop. Upon inspection, I found evidence of the resistors getting very hot and melting a wire that had been touching one of them. Not a good situation.

Since then, I have removed the resistors and installed one of the LED flasher units from American Sportbike (similar units available on Trojan's website, etc.). It works like a charm, and you don't have to worry about a melt-down. Also, if you're handy, you can salvage the stock mounting bracket from the old flasher and use it on the new one.

It is highly recommended to go this route. It's 10x easier if nothing else and cheaper to boot. Take it from experience and ride safe... no one likes a dead bike or rider.

I almost went the resistor route but luckily I remembered Al's LED relay.

It's definitely the way to go.
Simple to install. No resistors taking up valuable space and one (four) less thing to go wrong.

I believe he also sells a canceler so you don't have to manually turn them off.

I have LED rear signals on my '04 xb21s/r and just changed the fronts to LED and installed the flasher unit you listed above. It works great It sure is nice not to have the spazzing blinkers anymore.
