Hey everybody, Haven't posted in a while, I'm looking for some info on the high contact ratio cams. I've been looking through this topic and can't seem to pinpoint what I need to know.
First, can a set of HCR cams fit a 98 case?
Second, currently I'm running Andrews N-8 cams and these have quite a bit of backlash in them. (we are talkin more rattle than a worn out XR 750)
I don't like the noise. Will a set of HCR cams be reaasonably quiet?
Third, The N-8s are mild cams. Are the timing specs. similar to the Cyclone cams or possibly the Sportster sport? I just want to quiet down the valvetrain noise and still keep the nice broad power band this bike has.
I was talking with Jose not too long ago and he said he had this done but we didn't geet into particulars so please respond with your infinite wisdom and help me keep on rolling.
Thanks, Brian
