i have a 2003 XB9S. i am looking to 'clean-up' the tail section and was wondering if it would be possible to buy a Firebolt tail section (plastic), seat cowl, seat and just be able to bolt it onto my lightning??? the above parts can be bought for a reasonable price on ebay (i have them bookmarked). i don't know enough about the two models and was hoping there would be somebody here who might! email me PLEASE! oddyseypaintball@yahoo.com THANKS! paulie | ||

Umm, you can also do a trade with a R owner (like me for example), meet up and swap bike to bike. Cheap, sorta easy (easier for the R bike since we have the stuff up front already). You could put a "Wanted" into the classified section of the forum -- maybe someone in your area wants to do a trade. | ||

i would love to swap with an R owner. unfortunately i am in Canada and can't enter your beautiful country (i was a dumb 'younger adult') up here even the Harley shops don't care for us Buell owners much. i wanted to do the conversion because i am a SOLO rider and the R tail section would look so much cleaner on my Lightning. i am a solid NAKED BIKE rider. i will keep looking and i appreciate the suggestion. when i get a sec i'll post in the wanted section. No problem -- good luck. By the way, there are some rear covers for the passenger section of the S tail. Also, check eBay -- gear for our XBs show up all the time. "Dumb younger adult" -- LOL, I was one of those too. Cheers! |
