One day, my Blast went sour and things haven't been OK for a long time. Took it to a shop and they "fixed" it. Lasted two days. Basically, the gas mileage went way down and if you let the gas level get "lowish" the bike will only start and idle but when you try to get going it just doesn't get enough gas. Once you fill it up to the brim the problem seems to go away. Now I have a new symptom. It will only start if I lean the bike way towards the right while starting. The problem is NOT between the tank and carb. Gravity is getting fuel to the carb just fine and there is fuel in the bowl. It has to be in the carb. What in the world is wrong?

Fuel tap? Do you mean fuel supply switch? It's on the left. A little hose goes from there to the right where the carb is. Also, when the previously mentioned shop "fixed" my bike, all they did was clean the carb to my knowledge. Obviously that didn't do much though.

Well, cleaning out the carb again has made it start/run and go again. However why does it regularly get crapped up? I find it hard to believe I keep getting bad gas. Something isn't doing it's job...

Crud in the fuel bowl or the jets sounds like.

Out of curiosity which side is the fuel tap on?

There may also be a "floater" in the tank that only shows up when vertical.

Check the "intake boot", the rubber coupler in between the carb and the intake manifold for cracking and damage.

You think the carb might be swinging to the right and blocking the air leak, Jprovo?
