I was just wondering, I've never seen anyone that has custom wheels on their bike. It's always just either the 3 spoke stock or the pm wheels. Does any know if there's a reason why this is? Personally I've seen some really nice looking street bike wheels that would look really good on most Buells. Any input?

I just bought my bike a year ago and I am still a little low on cash flow. this is why I still have the stock wheels, plus a lot of other stock parts.

I've always considered the "stock" Buell wheels to be custom wheels, and due to quite a few Harley/Sportster customizers using Buell wheels on their customs reinforces this thinking. I've seen a few custom/non-Buell-stock wheels on Buells, but mostly these are on either drag or roadrace track bikes.

I found a Buell brand, Silver three spoke rim.
It looks to be powdercoated, it has a rough surface but a smooth ring.
Has anyone else seen a rim like this?
It has BUELL stamped on it,
I'd love to have both, front and rear,in this style.

Looking for a cheaper alternative than PM's for a 5.5" rear rim. Anybody know if a XB wheel can be modified to fit? Any other suggestions?

Hello Shooter,

I have heard that the yamaha R1(17x6.0) rear rim will fit a tube frame Buell but requires different bearings to be installed due to the slightly smaller dia. Buell axle. Add to that the swap over to chain drive. Check the knowledge vault.
