im getting ready to send off my cam cover to have it cut down... ive never been inside a sporty engine before and i hear that when i pull the cover my cams will fall out... how do you prevent this??

Loosen one rocker box, put the other cylinder at the right position to completely unload the cams, then just pull it off. Or just loosen both rocker boxes

The cams will either stay on the bike, or come out with the cam cover, but you can then just pick them up and stuff them in either place. The manual makes it easy to line them back up again if they come out.
