So, I've relocated my plate under my rear fender close to rear shock, and I've ordered an 3 bulb LED light to shine on my plate. My question is what would be the best way to wire this in? I was thinking about splicing into my brake light. But, which wire is my constant positive? Or should I use an open spot on the fuse block up front, then will it always be hot to only when I turn the key? If its turn key that would be nice of course. What do you think?

Perhaps you should use the power from the existing number plate light?

This will come on when it is supposed to and save you the hassle of running a new circuit.

Thanks, should I use both the pos. and neg. leads? Or make a new ground for the light?

nope, just the pos/neg that exist.

You'll find that it will only work one way and not the other.
If it does not light, reverse the hookups (an LED is a diode).

I have my plate moved up there, too. I used two license plate bolts that are drilled and have an LED in each of them. I ran the wires up and used the stock license plate light wires. So far so good. I may have to add a washer under them to space them out a bit to get more light on the plate. They throw a flat, wedge of light.

Here is mine --

Undertail Modded

Wired the LED bolt (big silver one in the pic) to the taillight running-light so it's on when the bike is on.

Works like a charm so far, will do until I change my R to an RScg (R front, S tail, with an CG suspension and seat trade).

Just take your time, it's not too hard to do.
