Whats the difference between the tail bag for the lighting and the firebolt? Anyone know? |

The Firebolt one is conformal fitting to the tail section, I believe. Not sure it would look good on the Lightning. Does Buell not display photos of the two on their web site? |

Thanks Blake. They show the bag but not how it looks. |

Yea, to me they both look the same, all but the lighting/firebolt logo. I wonder if the way there straped to the bike is the same. |

Looks to me like the Lightning version sits at a much steeper fore-aft angle and has deeper/taller front wall. |

And, will the Lightning one work on the STT? It doesn't specifically say that it does. The tank bag says XB models, but the tail bag starts a short list of models that does not include the STT. |

I have this bag for my lightning... good for a small cover OR thin rainsuit and that's about it. Then again... if all you need is a place to carry odds & ends, it's good for that too. |

I think the firebolt bag mounts without the seat? Giving a little more room. The lightning bag is small especially due to the curvature of the bottom to fit the seat. I use it with a lighting long touring seat. IT works but doesn't fit as well as with the stock seat. |
