Author Message   Chrislightning Posted on Wednesday, March 05, 2008 - 08:12 am:        I have a XB12S Lightning. I put on a Jardine exhaust. Do I need a race ecm and TPS. Everything seems fine now (I have a K&N) but am I missing more performance or is it minor and wouldn't notice that much difference?   Barnyard Posted on Monday, June 30, 2008 - 11:11 pm:        Good ? No probably not, your FI will probably try to compensate. My bike is 2000 X1 with a V&H slip-on and stock air filter except I do get some popping on deceleration (more when engine is cold) and I had exhaust backfires on a couple of occasions accompanied by the engine light coming on momentarily and the bike almost stalled. All of these happened within a second or two and went away. So do I "need" to do something with the ECM or these events have nothing to do with the V&H? Thanks in advance.
