I have an '07 9r. I don't do too much interstate riding, but the other day I decided to just to get home quicker. I was cruising with traffic at about 40mph. Traffic cleared up and I took off. I hit about 80 and it seemed like the bike wanted me to shift up. I had no other gear. Other times I've taken the interstate and had no problems with speeds of almost 100mph. Any ideas?

First thing I would do is ensure that the battery is fully charged.

"I hit about 80 and it seemed like the bike wanted me to shift up."

Please clarify? The bike didn't want to accelerate further, or it seemed like it was revving too hard? Did you mean "downshift" instead of "shift up"?

The bike didn't want to accelerate further. It felt like I was in 3rd or 4th gear and the bike wanted me to shift up but I was already in 5th. I pulled off and let it sit awhile and I haven't had a problem since. This was about a week ago.
