Here's the prob. I turned my XB keyswitch one click past fork lock and engaged the parking light circuit. It was on long enough to kill the battery's charge. Anyone got a sanitary way to defeat this "feature"? | ||

Not a way to defeat. That feature is designed to let you be seen while sitting parked. I've used this position to mark where I was, on the side of the road, so late afternoon traffic didn't run me over while putting on a rain suit. Use this position to ensure that you are in steering lock, then rotate back 1 click to turn the lights back off. | ||

BTW... ... if you have to pull over on the side of the road... pull way over, into the grass if you have to. Never stop on a highway you can't pull way, way off of if you can help it. | ||

Sure do. Look to see if your instrument and parking lights are on and if the answer is yes then turn the key back one notch | ||

i have worked wrecks, where motorist pull way off the road and leave their parking lights on... here comes mr. drunk, he follows the lights and crashes into the parked vehicle... i always pulled off the road and shut my lights off.. | ||
