I don't know what the hell happened...I went to start my X1 and it wouldn't crank over- it tried, but refused to start. I checked the plugs and the front cyl plug is wet! I put new plugs in, new plug wires, and ran a test on the coil (failed, then passed)...I'm afraid to think it might be rings or valve seats. Does anybody have any advice? Help, please!...

It wouldn't crank over. That's pretty telling right there. Next time see if it will crank over with gusto if you temporarily jump-start it from a car. The idea here is that maybe your battery doesn't have enough reserve juice to crank it AND provide the required voltage for the ignition, EFI computer and fuel pump... and headlight, etc. when you punch the start button.

So, what you want to do in this situation is connect the battery cable positive to positive and connect the negative cable to the car battery. Then when you hit the start button, touch the other end of the negative cable to the bike frame. Only leave it touching the frame until the engine lights off though. That way you avoid overcooking the much smaller bike battery.

If this works like planned now but not the next time without a jumper, I'd look into getting a new battery.

Cool, I'll give it a shot.
