Hi - Just picked up a used 2003 XB9S, and I have to say, it is fantastic!

Reminds me of a Honda XL 650 I had when I was much younger, only MUCH, MUCH faster, and FUNNER : )

I've had Triumphs, Suzuki's, over the years and they seemed to have... A LOT of Weight compared to the XB9S.

Anyway, just want to know what things (or how) I should give the XB9S the once over? Things to look for / listen for - It has minimal wear, but since I don't know the history, you never know. 10k miles, owner said serviced at 2500 intervals..

Thanks

Go through the primary chain and clutch tension adjustment, and change the gear box oil, and change the engine oil and filter.

Check the exhaust mounting straps (don't come loose unless you mess with them, but it can go badly if they do).

And put frame sliders on it (pucks) if you don't already have them.

Then... errr.... go ride it!

Geesh. When this question came up for the M2's, I had a LOT more to type : )

Welcome! Enjoy the bike!
