Motor is hard to start, but then seems to run OK for a while. After it warms a bit the bike will suddenly start cutting out as though it's running out of gas. Sometimes it will stall at a light and not restart for several minutes.
The bike is still under warranty and has been bake to the Harley dealer twice. They acknowledge that it runs like crap, but they can't figure out why either. They say they have drained the gas, removed and cleaned the fuel valve/filter assy, reset the float level in the carb, and also checked the carb mounting boot for leaks. I suggested checking the ignition module, but they said it wouldn't run at all if that were bad.
I don't think they know what they are doing. Anyone here have any suggestions? |

Make sure the vent line isn't blocked. Next time it stalls, open the gas cap and then try restarting.

Do the basics. Check to make sure the carb is securely in the intake manifold. One good backfire will blow it out of position. Also remove the carb bowl, remove the pilot jet and clean it. Chances are it needs it. These have an electric choke, disassemble it and throughly clean the entire choke cicut.One other thing, Carefully drill out the emissions plug so you can access and adjust the low speed mixture screw. |

sounds like tps setting could be off they are never right from the factory. |
