Local dealer has a demo '05 XB12S for sale and looking for advice on potential mechanical problem areas.

I've owned and ridden a lot of bikes in my 30+ years of riding. Closest to the Buell is probably the '98 Harley XL12000S. Nice bike but not enough power for me.

Last bike was a ZX9R. Plenty of power, but a deer knocked me down and ended the life of the ZX.

Now that I've recovered, I need another bike, mostly just for fun around the country roads near me.

XB12S sounds like the right bike. But, I don't want a bike that needs a lot of maintenance.

Any advice welcome.

Thanks.

Rich
