Hi I have maintaind my bike since new I bought a 06 ulysses in june 07 I change the oil and filter at 400 miles 1000 miles 1500 miles and 2500 miles and 4000 miles and was getting ready to do it again at 6500 miles but was coming home and the bikes started running bad and making alot of noise from the top end, also felt like something broke? the dealership picked up my bike on friday oct 19 and first they said it was the oil pump and now they say it is cloged oil line which sounds like bullshit, and if it was they could just blow it out with the air hose, no lights came on so I rode the bike home which was about 5 to 10 miles, now what I want to know is that if the motor was not getting oil why would the oil light not come on, and I feel like something broke after it was running bad just around the corner something felt like it broke, the bike had no power and the top end was making alot of noise, now they are proubly going to try to give the bike back to me with out making shure other damage was done by the lack of oil, can anyone tell me what to do I have had 9 sporsters since 1982 and never had a proublem with them or any other of my bikes which come to over 30 since I was a kid, has anyone have this happen or no someone this has happend to, let me know what I should do, I am a bike only guy and this is a major inconveinence for me and should be a priority to get my bike running from the dealership and feel like they do not give a shit. Mike

Could the temperature have gotten too high, and put the ECM in "skip spark" mode? That would have made it run really badly, but would have been trying to prevent the engine from being damaged.
