How often do you replace these, drive bushings ??

Can you just buy the bushings, or they go as a set with the rotor?

Mine are badly worn on one side, and slightly worn on the other, after about 6.000 km (same as pad life). I flip them when I change pads. Would it be safer just to install new ones, than to flip them? Anyone with experience on this issue??

I did not know about this issue when I got the XB12R, and the dealer never told me of this issue. He never told me to check the drive bushings. So after 17.000 km the noise from the rotor, when braking, was so bad, that I had to check. Unfortunately it was too late for the rotor as well. One side was badly damaged at the point of contact with the warn bushings, so I had to get a new rotor. Other from that, the rotor looked perfect ! Shame to have to throw the rotor away.

You can buy the rotor mounting kit separately. For example American Sportbike carries the kit. I have not seen a recommended service interval for the bushings.

Why pay $64 for the kit, when with $145 you get the rotor&kit as well?

It would be better if just the bushings were to be sold at a lower price, since the rest are not wearing out as much.

But I guess I should not complain .... The XB's front wheel (thanks to the ZTL) is 2.5 kg lighter than a GSXR1000K7. The lighter weight worths the extra money that have to be spent in servicing it more frequently.
