please help,I rode 3 miles and pushed 3 miles to get home.
I've got;
1)a full tank of fuel,
2)all fuses and relays are okay,
3)a fully charged battery,
4)the engine check lamp goes out and stays out,
5)fuel at the injection pump,
6)a spark at the plugs,
7)I haven't got any number on the dash,
8)when I put the ignition on the pump pressureizes the fuel,but when cranked over it doesn't re-pressureize,

Cam angle sensor. Not recognising rotation of the engine? |

What does 7) mean, no clock or odometer reading? If so, there is some kind of electrical disconnect.
Do all the lights and other control's switch functions work? Horn, turn signals, brake lights, high/low beams? Can you check for error codes? |

thank you for your replys,I've got a Buell mechanic coming over tomorrow,I'll get him to check the cam sensor.7)means that I haven't got any error codes and all lights and horn work. |

Hey, a faulty bank angle sensor can cause the motor to quit running but, then again, I'd think it would give an error code.
Hitting the start button should not interrupt fuel or ignition processes unless, say, the battery cannot sustain the heavy load of starting current and the fuel/ignition drops out. You say the battery is fully charged, but can it pass a load test? |

the mechanic took my bike Tuesday,he thinks its the ECU,mines a racing,I've heard nothing since will let you all know when I hear something |

need 3 things, spark, fuel, and timing.
You have spark, and the pump turns on, no codes, so all your sensors are working. Sounds to me like your timings off. |

well I've just paid $1026.04(767.76€)gone 50 miles and broken down.HaleyDavidson have changed ;
rear cylinder temperature sensor
bank angle sensor
throttle position sensor
and my bikes still the same,the 50 miles I did ride wasn't easy,she backfired at 4000 revs,sometimes at 4500 and 5000.The mechanic came out with his trailer took my bikeand left me on the motorway.My wife had to come out and pick me up.My bike did start when the mechanic turned up 90 minutes later but I said he might as well take it as it wasn't running right anyway.Stay tunned for the next episode. |

May well be the coil overheating. Had this problem on a dirt bike a few years back.
Worked great for a while and then it was time to push it again.
Cooled down and then did it all again.
Slow trip home. |

Hey ...did the tech by chance pull the fuel pump?....the fuel pump wiring can chaf on the wire retainer inside the tank and causes the fuel pump to run intermittently or sometimes not at all...and wont throw a code...but to find out you gotta pull the full pump...service bulletin i think on this one |
