Court,

Using my system coupled with an A2DP stereo bluetooth headset (as tim is using) would accomplish everything.

You would have GPS, music, and if you wanted radar.

For a Uly, you could load Topo maps and head off road.
Hell mine actually read off text messages/emails. Very convenient when you want to get away from the office, but can't be away from work.

My project refresher http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/260528.html?1178440002

I am only waiting for a solid review of the J&M headset system.
Then I will decided what to upgrade my headset to.

I have the ATT Tilt and the CAMOS headset. Frankly - I am totally impressesed. I get phone, GPS, and music with no fuss or muss. I like local talk radio - and I have the dongle as well for my AM stuff.

Everything is working as advertised - and I am a happy camper. I will be wiring my tank bag this weekend for power. My 1125R is due in a week or so - and I want my tank bag not only powered - but portable.

As for headset - the CAMOS is the bomb. I am totally impressed - the marketing hype matched the deliverable. : )

Phone too?

Yippers

My voice recognition works well up to 50mph. beyond that I have to push buttons.

I have tested my headset (cardo scala) up to 105mph. This of course was not on any public roads. The other party started to hear engine roar, but they could still understand me,

Anything below 40mph, and I have to tell people I am on the bike.

I recieved a call today while riding "briskly" (ok - was doing about 90). The caller could hear some wind noise - but is was manageable for the purposes of the call.

I am very impressed with this setup.

Wonder if the Sirius Stilleto is compatible. I am a Sirius sat. radio junkie. I am deployed to the Mid East right now and listen with my on-line account. Will be getting a Stilleto (MP-3/Sat. Radio) AND a new shiney '08 or '09 'bolt when I get back to the States. Hmmmmm.......

Ok - Update on the CAMOS. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

My unit crapped out a couple of months ago. I have been doing a bunch of business travel so it wasn't a big deal. I took it back to the retailer - they stopped carrying them for a number of reasons. So... I called Benchmark Helmets. They gave me a return authorization and I shipped it back. That was 3 months ago. They won't take my calls nor will they answer my emails.

I just bought the Chatterbox XBI. Will report back after I have it charged and some use time on it.

Update on the XBI:

It does OK. I have it installed in an older Arai helmet (helmet is 3 years old). I do get a fair bit of wind noise in that helmet. The XBI has enough volume to hear reasonably well even when I wear earplugs - which I always do with this helmet.

Battery life is SO-SO. I get about 3 hours of talk (cell phone) or about 5 hours of music. I would prefer it had 8-10 hours of talk time (so that I wouldn't have to pack the recharger on 3 day trips).

Recharger is specific to the XBI.

Chatterbox makes it CLEAR it is weather resistant. I haven't figured out how to protect it in the rain (yet). I keep some baggies and rubber bands in my tank bag (just in case).
