Shifting just became very hard... as in you have to slam the crap out of the shifter in order to change gears... clutch is fine.... any ideas???

Just Changed the fluid and replaced the tensioner...

i guess the shifter drum... i'm not sure what the problem is... the linkage looks fine...

I suspect you may have overfilled the tranny/primary with too much lubricant. Check and then if needed, reduce the level of transmission lubricant to where it is just touching the teeth of the spring plate or whatever that is, as shown in the owner's manual. Check with bike on level ground and stood perfectly upright. If you added or checked tranny fluid with the bike supported on a rear wheel stand, you would end up overfilling the tranny.

Hey man, I have a 08 Uly and my third gear is a chore to up shift out of. It is tuff enough that my foot is getting sore from that particular gear. I thought it was just a characteristic of the bike. I don't know Buells very well. Trans oil has been changed twice with AMSOIL 20/50. I'll live with it as I don't want dealer in there at all. Pretty bad attitude, huh? Oh ya, transmission oil level is precise. Oil just covering teeth only. Didn't use entire quart. Clutch cable is perfect. Never missed a shift and I am a careful shifting driver. Was like that from day 1.
