In the August issue of American Rider, they have an article about EFI black boxes - or more specifically, add-ons to the ECM that provides a way to change the mapping to be a little less lean.

Am looking for others feedback on using devices like this - be it Cobra, Power Commander etc.

I have a Harley Ultra and an '04 XB12R. Both would be candidates for this (I think). I know American Sport Bike has an ECM remapping software - but wondering about those that went down the path of adding a fuell management device instead. Also - would like feedback from those that went down the ECM tool route.

I don't do much track time (but that will change next year). Mostly I would like to run a little cooler and possibly increase fuel economy (on the Ultra for sure). I also like the promise of cooler heads (for engine longevity).

Thanks!
