I took my bike in for a TPS reset and after the tech was done, he let her idle up to temp. Never reached 206F, even after 15 minutes. His computer had 300+ as a standard temp. We watched his laptop as she warmed up, it actually got cooler! Nope, the fan never kicked in until we shut her down.

Bad temp sensor?

I'm surprised a shop wouldn't have one of those lazer temp. meters. That's how I figured out that I had a cyclinder that wasn't running the same as the other.
While I was checking the head temp sensor I was using the IR meter and pointed it at the front and it was about 60deg. cooler. Then I compared the headers and they were the same.

Mike....it took 20 minutes and me pointing out that the kill switch was on before he fired up the software to do the TPS.

I'm not 100% sure of his readings or data at all. I wonder now if that was header temp. that we watched on the laptop.
