Bought the 2 inch risers from American Sport Bike and installed on my '07 XB12Scg 1200... adjusted so that bars are back approx. 1 /1/4 inches and about 3/4 inch higher..Sure makes it WAY more comfortable on my neck!!Just thought someone out there might wanna know..BTW>>>did not need to replace any cables or hoses, just some minor re-routing. I bought a longer brake hose just in case, but ended up not needing it..next project is to wrap the headers..Trying to get at LEAST $15,000 sunk into the Buell (Message edited by packrat on September 14, 2007) |

I'm getting up there too, I JUST got the 7/8" bar risers from American Sport Bike, haven't even put them on yet. They are surprisingly lightweight. How do you test the bar positions, since you have to unbolt the gauges, etc. to even rotate the handlebars 1/4" ? It's much harder to adjust the handlebars on my M2, than any bike I previously owned, because of this. |

On my bike, don't have to unbolt anything to change position of bars....I really like the risers..in fact, I'm ordering a set to put on my '07 Aprilia Tuono as well!! |

"Jayvee", You do not have to remove the gauges on an M2 to adjust the bars. When installed as per the manual the two bolts (closest to headlight) are torqued down first. This still leaves the bars loose until the last two bolts (closest to rider) are torqued down. If you get a long allen wrench you can loosen the last two bolts enough to move the bars and then re-torque. If you need to remove the gauges, it's just two 1/4 -20 allens. HTH! |
