I'm looking for something that attaches to the frame just below the tank so I can grip the bike better with my knees. Right now, the right one is gripping the frame but wedged under the tank and the left is grabbing the corner of the Airtech airbox. Is there some kind of product that can be bolted on to give you what the stock airbox did in terms of a way to grip the bike with the legs? |

I have used a product that is becoming quite common at the race track called "Stomp-grip". It is a rubbery transparent material with nubs on it to increase the grip surface. It can be transfered between bikes or air box covers as long as you take care not to get the sticky side dirty after removing it. I took it off my bike to allow my brother to use it on the track. He liked it as much as or more than I do. I recommend this product because it encourages you to use your whole body to control the bike rather than just your arms. GOOD STUFF! If you get the universal kit you can trim it to fit the concave areas of your air box cover, or you can use it on the frame. I've seen a product called ice grip advertised but have never used it myself so I cannot give you a recommendation on it. |
