I've got a 2003 XB9S with stock exhaust. The 'seal' around the chrome exhaust tip seems to be separating from the muffler body. Is this purely cosmetic or is this something that might lead to a performance problem? What is the black material the seal consists of and how can I get it fixed?

Thanks.

Its just spot welded on, that is normal. Now get out there and ride.
