hello , i recently sent my motorcycle to the mech for a engine rebuilt and i wanted to ask you guys to give me the right way of breaking in . i have not picked the bike up yet, but i want to make sure that what the mechs tell me is the right thing, i will be going to pick up the bike in a few days .thanks buell blast 2001

Cycle the motor through a few heat cycles. Then ride it as normal.

Maybe take it easy for the first 500-1000 mi. and change the oil and filter at 500 and 1000. Oil and filters are cheap compared to an engine. Who knows what is in it. I just change mine at 2000 now. Only takes a few minutes and bucks. I even change my boat oil 2-3 times a year and that is 2 qts. Just my 2 cents worth. By the way the heat cycle thing sounds great also.
