I took the bike (07 XB12Scg) to California Harley Davidson, in Lomita, California. After I did all of the paperwork (an hour), the service writer responds to a question with "I dunno, we don't do may Buells".

Is there a knowledgeable dealer in the Los Angeles area?

What was the stumper question that resulted in an answer about may Buells?

A question regarding throttle response. Sometimes it's crisp, sometimes not there at all. If I'm on the pipe and pull in the clutch it will idle down and die.

I could go on about CalHD installing my turn signals upside down, but suffice to say, try Glendale HD. Their reputation is a little better.

This issue is going to get worse for Buell as they attract new customers with the 1125Rocket. I was talking to several people at the Buell Demo Days who had never considered a Buell before and you should have seen their eyes go wide as they heard story after story about inept dealers.

Do you have any after market goodies suckin' and blowin' at either end of the bike? You might need a re-map or TPS re-set and dealers are notorious for doing that wrong too. You have to turn the set screw full out (or is it in?) before you reset the TPS. I'll PM Al from American Sport Bike and ask him to weigh in.

Tough to say without seeing it in person. IF you want to bring it by the shop, I can hook it up to the computer and see how things look. But I'm down in North San Diego county, so it's a bit of a ride.

I can bring my PDA with VDSTS to the SCAB meeting in Yorba Linda tomorrow night if you want me to look at it then. See http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/37/ 40.html?1185898493#POST943152
