I recently replaced my intake seals(2005 12R) and now I have a top end tick that appears to be coming from the front cylinder. I was very carefull not to get anything into the intake port when replacing the seals. At first I thought I had an exhaust leak because I did remove the front cylinder exhaust pipe (micron) to get at a bolt. I also had tampered with the crankcase breathers where they go into the heads but I didn't remove them. Could they be a possible source? I have rode the bike several times and it has not gotten any worse. It's not noticable at all rpms either. Any ideas? Thanks, Gregg | ||

Exhaust leaks where the primary joins the exhaust port will sound like a metallic click. Heal thy self. | ||

Thanks Dj. I forgot to mention that I already did that. I've had that exhaust off a few times with no problems but I may try again because I have noticed a bit more popping on decel too. It's a pretty easy job anyway. Gregg | ||
