Was riding home from work in a rain/lightning storm, bike stalled out. Shut off run switch, turned off key to reset, turned back on, lights come on, no neutral light, no oil/fuel light. Turn on run switch, nothing. Checked fuses, found a blown ignition fuse. Replaced fuse, same thing, fuse blows after attempting start. Checked for any frayed wires on the surface, all looked normal.

Any ideas or similar experiences?

Thanks, Mike

Since you have checked for frayed wires, now check for good grounds. Make sure that they are all tight and clean.

There were some cases here where the socket to the tail lamp failed into some sort of internal short mode. It was within the socket itself.

I have the same problem, and nobody can solve this problem, but in Estonia we have no official dealer.
So if you have found the solution - write it down.

The local dealer has determined that the fuel pump "took a crap". They said the part would be delivered this passed thursday or friday (July 5 - July 6) No word from them yet. Going to call on Saturday for an update. If the problem still exists, I'll mention the tail light issue.

Later,
Mike
